Dale Boisclair is the founder and director of Dale Boisclair Consulting, a company specializing in providing timely, relevant and results oriented training to credit union staff throughout Canada.

Education

Dale is an accredited Certified Training Practitioner with the Institute for Performance and Learning, has a Certificate in Cooperative Development through the Coop Zone Developers Network Cooperative and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Canterbury University. Dale is also an Associate in the Institute of Canadian Bankers, has a Life License Qualification through Advocis and completed a Provincial Instructors Diploma with a Post Secondary Endorsement through Vancouver Community College’s School of Instructor Education, including Train the Trainer Certification. In his commitment to professional development, Dale has taken a variety of courses through the Credit Union Institute of Canada.

Experience

With over 36 years experience in retail banking and customer service, 19 of which were in the credit union system, Dale’s background enables him to quickly and efficiently identify and bridge credit union training gaps. As a previous credit union multi-branch Regional Manager, and a Provincial Sales Team Leader for CUMIS, Dale established himself as a highly regarded skills coach, mentor and leader. While in a senior management head office role, Dale wrote and implemented successful organizational policy and procedure. His successes in this role allowed him to develop his strategic approach to problem solving and established him as a change management expert.

Present Day

Presently, Dale focuses his energy on corporate training and development. He is currently in the midst of an ongoing multi-year commitment to develop and write the suite of new retail credit courses that are part of the Canadian Credit Union Association's new curriculum.

Dale delivers this training in a virtual, e-class format to participants from credit unions across the country. He is a highly regarded coach, mentor and trainer; well known for inspiring others to meet their full potential.  

As someone who believes in making a difference to others, Dale’s company Dale Boisclair Consulting, donates a portion of its net earnings to the Canadian Co-operative Association in support of the association's overseas development work in the cooperative sector. 

Dale has twice travelled to Mongolia as part of a credit union coaching team. He has also visited Colombia to meet with representatives from four different credit unions to discuss challenges common to the Canadian and Colombian credit union sectors. Most recently, Dale was part of a credit union coaching team that worked with rural credit unions in Uganda, Malawi and Ghana. This international experience has broadened his expertise and deepened his enthusiasm for giving back.
